Enniskerry Farm is a family farm offering horse riding lessons, horse shows, summer camps, boarding and training. A full service operation, Enniskerry began in the 1970's when the Hart family built its first barn in Colchester. Since that time it has expanded from three stalls to a facility with the capacity to care for 26 horses year round. This last expansion was accomplished through the purchase of the property at 848 Middle Road, previously Hidden Oak Farm.

Our services include:

• Huntseat riding instruction - private and group lessons for all ages and abilities, providing them with the balance and basics they need to ride safely.
• School horses - to provide students with safe, reliable horses to learn on.
• Summer camps for children - teaching 6 to 16 year olds of all abilities riding and horse health care.
• Training horses - starting young horses under saddle and teaching horses to jump.
• Horse and Pony shopping - helping customers find and buy or lease the appropriate horse for their needs.
• Boarding horses - caring for customers' horses, improving and maintaining their health on a daily basis.
• Coaching students at horse shows - helping them to prepare for classes and handle the difficulties that can arise at shows.

We are looking to attract customers that want to spend time with their horses, that understand and care about their everyday needs. We want customers that are more interested in having fun than in winning at all costs. Some barns seem to be frantically trying to earn their pay, pushing students to the limit to make them competitive, and to make their business look more impressive.

We are not really out to impress anyone, not wanting to deal with that sort of stress, and really, that sort of customer. We seek to be reasonably priced, so we can keep the customers we love, while tailoring their lesson program to fit their needs. If a customer is looking to show competitively, we will work to help them achieve their goals. If instead they just want to enjoy being around horses and learn to ride safely, we will work to help them with that goal as well.

By tailoring our program to meet customers' individual needs, we have managed to build a customer base that is very happy and content with our program. We work hard to give riders the confidence and skills they need to excel in the show ring or just to enjoy riding. Our overall goal at Enniskerry Farm is to make riding and working with horses an enjoyable and relaxing experience for our customers. We hope you will consider riding with us!
